The iron is actually very, very good. My only concern is whether the manufacturer's one-setting temperature is healthy for all hair types.

I absolutely LOVE my CHI. Its the only straightener that auctually straightens my hair. Where i'm from we have horrible humidity problems, but when i use my Chi flat iron i don't have to worry, my hair won't frizz or anything. Chi is the only product i would use in my hair.

I have used 4 flat irons in my life, the previous 3 all stopped in short period. This CHI flat iron is the only one which works over 9 months, but it's also the more expensive one. Anyway, it's worth, it creates very nice straight hair. I just hope it would work for a long time.
