Dummy crooks raid Kendal hairdressers

THIEVES have smashed a £200 Kendal hairdresser's window to steal valuable straighteners-only to find they were dummies.

The crooks used a glass bottle to put through the window of a hairdresser salon in Sandes Avenue, sometime between 12 noon on October 4 and 8.30am the following day, and made off with what appeared to be three sets of GHD straighteners-which retail at more than £100 each. However, the stolen straighters were dummy display models.
