Automatic Shut-off
The new generation IV Styler( MK4 ) has been fitted with a comprehensive safety feature to prevent you from accidentally leaving your hair straighteners on when unattended. 15 minutes after being turned on, the styler will "beep" to announce that it is entering "cool down" mode. It will continue to "beep" during this phase until it is completely cool after a further 15 minutes (30 minutes after being turned on), a which point it will turn itself off. Important Note: If you are still using your new generation IV Styler when it enters "cool down" mode, simply switch them off and then on to reset the timer.

only the second flat iron I've used. For the price and features, it is a better value than my CHI which I paid over twice what this item costs (CHI warranty replacement... I have w/ my CHI (fingertips) or curling iron (yes one can straighten hair w/ a curling iron but risk burning face, ear, and fingertips)

love my Chi ceramic flat iron! As a mom I don't have hours to style my hair and feel good... but now with this flat iron (and I also got the hair dryer) I can straighten/style my hair in 20 min (I have just over the shoulder length hair that's wavy). I want to add, I first learnt about Chi flat irons from my sister

I ordered my Chi Flat Iron and received it earlier than expected. I tried it out right away and to be honest it went so smoothly through my hair that I thought it was broken, but it wasn't. It was just that smooth. My hair came out silky and smooth. I am very happy with this product.

17. I love this product, I have very thick hair and this is the only ghd I have used that will straighten and work on my hair. This is my 2nd ghd and I would not buy anything else

My iron does not always turn on. I am aware of the reset buttons on both the iron and my home outlets; am aware of making sure the light switch is turned to on. I also let it sit to give it time to heat, with the switch turned on, upon my return, I sometimes find it ice cold. Eventually, I can get it to turn on after much fuss, but have, on occassion been forced to leave the house with out fixing my hair.
